You can approximate the value of pi by dropping pins on a wooden floor. Don't ask me how.

You can use pi to measure the reactive impedance ( =component resistance in an AC circuit) of inductors and capacitors. Haven't a damn clue how or why, either. Phase angles, maybe.

Rameses II lived to almost 100 years of age and has a relatively small tomb. It is said this is because they stopped building it during his life because they started to doubt that he was actually going to die.

See James, 'proof' that fighting people, smoking cannabis and drinking gallons of tonic wine are good for you :)

What a legend though. I've never heard that. Source? Maybe I can read it and put it on the blogs (FAPFAPFAPFAPFAPFAPFAPFAP)

True, but we sadly don't have a "Furious Masturbation" forum.

Brainwave: we should have a "Furious Masturbation" forum.

So when the class one eggs are in Waitrose and you cannot go there, you have a problem.

Estimates on Rameses II's age range between about 90-99 years of age. It turns out he actually had a fuckoff massive tomb that they worked on for his 66 year reign but had to be moved after tomb robbers got there.

He's also got an exceptionally well preserved mummy.

Depending on your definition of the word 'large', Carlisle is the largest city in England.

If you were shopping for a laptop in 1997 and instead of buying a Powerbook 250 spent the $5,700 (jesus christ) retail price on Apple stock you would now have $731,784 of Apple stock as of April 1, 2012.
